With the enactment of the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA), health system pharmacies need a solution to trace and confirm prescription medications as they are received into inventory. This can add time-consuming duplicative processes to an often already overly manual Central Pharmacy environment.
Omnicell chose to collaborate with TrackTraceRX to develop a solution designed to be DSCSA-compliant that works to streamline medication receiving processes by establishing an interface between Omnicell’s Central Pharmacy Manager software and TrackRX, TrackTraceRX’s comprehensive track-and-trace solution. The new interface is intended to enable seamless, compliant pharmacy supply chain management.
